Is Heavy Cream Gluten-Free? - Read this before you start your diet!

Apparently, I have switched to a gluten-free diet, mainly restraining myself from wheat. But it kept me wondering whether I would have to sacrifice my heavy cream, which I use as a spread for my routine salad meal. And I share the dilemma that made you land on my article here.  Let us dive into the ingredients of heavy cream, which will give us a bit more clarity on our doubts.

Is Heavy Cream Gluten-Free?

Heavy cream is the final product of raw milk. The high-fat cream is the cream that separates from raw milk and settles above. Heavy cream, as the name says it contains pretty much high fat of around 30-40%, which means it has the highest proportion of fat compared to other types of cream. Talking about gluten, we are aware that gluten is nothing but proteins. As heavy cream consists of rich fat, we now know that heavy cream is gluten-free entirely.  While on my journey of no gluten on my plate, I tried various brands of heavy cream. And these are the top five heavy cream brands that are suggestive for the no-carb regime

If you are dairy intolerant or on a low dairy diet, then indulging in heavy cream is not advised. But if you still tend to crave for some, then butter, cottage cheese, and cream cheese are kind of some good alternatives to go for. Or else, one can always make everything at home.  The recipe for the perfect homemade heavy cream is simpler than you think. Do you want me to post a recipe of the same here?
